| In essence, we believe in equal playing time for our players, given a player's practice and game attendance, acumen and comprehension, hustle and self-motivation to improve. While no two players are completely equal, this is an all-star program for children who have mastered at least some aspect of a game that utlimately requires several different capabilities. Our goal is to refine those capabilities and to help our players excel at an accelerated rate. One of the ways in which we hope to achieve this goal is by welcoming the very best competition possible. There are no easy games or simple opponents on our schedule and this organization is committed to facilitating intense competition at every possible turn. The establishment of self-esteem through hard work and just rewards is critical in our process of player development, while at the same time we hope to offer compassion and empathy toward each individual within the greater context of the team framework. Our sponsors have been exceptionally generous because they believe that there is nothing politically incorrect about being passionate about youth athletics, as long as it is tempered by experience and the appropriate and meaningful life lessons that are concommitant with engaging in team play. Chiefly, our goal is to ensure that practices and games are fun, that our players are not typecast into particular roles before they have fully, physically developed and that we garner in our collective experiences an eventual self-confidence that mirrors the great diligence and effort we have put forth. We expect our athletes to immerse themselves into their educations, first, because the greatest weapon an athlete has is his or her mind. Lastly, we depend upon a great deal of conditioning to ready our athletes for each challenge presented to them and our expectation is that quality physical conditioning will become a lifelong habit. |
